The Performance Outreach Program provides opportunities for students to perform in the community. These may be solo and ensemble performances conducted in venues such as care facilities whose patients may benefit from such performances.
As part of our charitable purpose, this activity helps to instill charitable values in music students and brings the performing arts to people in the community who may not otherwise have access. As part of our educational purpose, this activity promotes the quality development of musician skills of the Center’s students. For example, PATA members and music students may perform free concerts in the community at schools, hospitals, and care facilities for youths, adults, and seniors who are physically and/or mentally challenged. These activities increase the availability of the fine arts in the community, assist in developing additional community goodwill, and inspire community youth to pursue music education.
